The Nike Jordan brand has been making cool, high-quality sneakers for many years, starting with the Air Jordan in 1985, inspired by basketball legend Michael Jordan. To this day, that shoe, as technically ‘old’ as it is, is one of the most popular Jordan shoes on the market. Many famous people, including Drake, Will Smith, Rihanna, and Eminem, have worn Air Jordans, making them super popular. To put it simply, Retro Jordan sneakers are re-releases of old designs, sometimes with small changes, and this list ranks the most popular ones from not-so-great to the best.

26. Air Jordan Retro XII (12) Rising Sun

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (1)

This Jordan is called “Rising Sun”, and the Japanese flag inspired its predominantly white design. The insole sports a beautiful red and white graphic of a sun rising, further referencing the flag. The subtle hints of red in the overwhelming white perfectly depict the flag in shoe form. The shoe was released in 2009, making it 15 years old in 2024.

The design: It features a high-top design with a white leather upper and a ribbed texture with perforations on every other rib. The upper also includes sections of rubber that creep up from the mudguard.

What we like about it: The look is undeniably timeless. Not to mention the rubber detailing on the upper makes it less daunting to wear these sneakers, thanks to how easy the rubber is to clean off. The shape and construction of the sneakers also give them a flawless look as the eye travels across the sneakers.

Release date: 2009

Where to buy it: Pairs of these sneakers can be found on many after-market sites, like GOAT, where you can get different sizes between $81 and $628.

25. Air Jordan Retro XII (12) Nubuck

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (2)

ThisAir JordanXII is another 2009 release inspired by the Japanese flag. Furthermore, it is a trademark of women’s sneakers, considered a unique colourway because it’s one of the best looking Jordans out there. Previously, the shoe could only be found in leather until this Retro brought in a nubuck upper with quilt-like detailing covering the black outer walls of the design. You also get an inscribed ’23’ found at the shoe’s heel. The shoe has Carolina blue accents and is a refreshing take on the original 2003 design.

The design: This pair swaps out leather for gorgeous, almost matte nubuck on the upper. It also forgoes any perforated detailing while still maintaining all of the rubber elements throughout the sneakers, but with a velvety matte finish rather than a shiny one.

What we like about it: The mostly black look is always a favourite that you can wear with almost anything. However, the little pop of colour from the Jumpman branding keeps the sneakers from looking too plain or just disappearing into the darkness.

Release date: 2009

Where to buy it: These gorgeous sneakers are available on many sites, including Flight Club, for $358+.

24. Air Jordan Retro XIII (13) Altitude

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (3)

This was a surprising re-release of the 2005 colourway inspired by Michael Jordan’s ‘Black Cat’ alter ego. The shoe’s release in 2017 adhered closely to its original colourway style, featuring a complete leather upper instead of the reflective 3M mesh seen in the second edition. The limited-editionJordan 13played with contrasting lurid green details on its uppers and came with a holographic jewel logo at the heel.

The design: Tumbled leather is used throughout the upper of these sneakers, which has a puckered embroidery to make it look like the cheeks of a cat, missing the whiskers. The black upper perfectly matches the black rubber midsole, which boasts many different textures.

What we like about it: While it might not be named “Black Cat”, the “Altitude” colourway has definite “Black Cat” energy, giving it an edge that is classic and also makes you think of MJ on the court.

Release Date: 2017

Where to buy it: You can easily find these sneakers on many sites, but you can often find them available straight from the source, Nike.com, for as little as $80.

23. Air Jordan Retro I (1) White/Grand Purple

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (4)

There have been countless iterations of the original Jordan 1s – one of the best Jordans ever – released since the first sneaker’s debut. However, the White/Grand Purple was an iteration that never made it to the U.S. The sneaker sported a white leather base with purple accents and the original Jordan Wings logo. The shoe has a rubber sole with an air sole built on top of it, creating a beautifully rounded front with good traction. The tongue is made of breathable nylon, with a Jumpman logo at the top, making for another rare 2009 release.

The design: Sticking with the iconic Air Jordan 1 design, the sneakers feature white smooth leather throughout, complemented by accents of deep purple leather that beautifully matches the outsole.

What we like about it: You can’t go wrong with a gorgeous pair of Air Jordan 1 sneakers, and this particular colourway is a classic. It includes both “White” and “Grand Purple”, which happens to be one of the most regal colours in Nike’s arsenal.

Release date: 2009

Where to buy it: You can grab an authenticated pair in its original shoe box from Yankeekicks for $820.

22. Air Jordan Retro IV (4) Black Cat

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (5)

This pair of Jordans was another rarity, with a retail price of $115 USD and an all-black colour scheme that stayed true to its OG 2006 predecessor. The shoe’s name was spawned from Michael Jordon’s nickname and is considered one of the best Jordan colourways for its unique monochromatic silhouette. While the shoe brought some new features, such as nubuck leather and graphite matte finishes, it also brought back features from the OG sneaker, such as hard-shell moulds and breathable netting.

The design: The all-black look has never looked so good, with every element of the sneakers, from the rubber to the mesh and the entire upper all in the same midnight shade.

What we like about it: When you think about the name “Black Cat”, these Air Jordan 4s are likely the first pair that come to mind, or at least it is for us. You can’t really find a more iconic black pair of Air Jordan sneakers, and the rarity and price of these sneakers confirms it.

Release date: 2020

Where to buy it: You might struggle to find these gorgeous and highly sought-after sneakers at a reasonable price, but if you really want to add them to your collection, you can find them on StockX for $922.

21. Air Jordan Retro IV (4) Eminem

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (6)

Based on the original 2004 release, this special edition Jordan sneaker was made specifically for Eminem and his closest friends/family while sporting a Detroit-style theme. The shoe was created to celebrate the release of the rapper’s Encore album in 2004, with only 50 pairs made similar in style to that of the UNDFTD Air Jordan IV (4). The only difference was the colour and the fact that it was never retailed in-store.

The design: The upper sports shades of black, grey, blue and white with vibrant red accents. The design also features a combination of nubuck, rubber and leather throughout to give it a harmonious and luxurious look.

What we like about it: Although it isn’t enough of a reason, we just love these sneakers because of the incredible rapper that they were made for and the fact that they honoured him on one of the best Air Jordan silhouettes in the line. Also, the colourway being as cool as it is doesn’t hurt.

Release date: 2004

Where to buy it: Because these sneakers were a friends and family only release, getting your hands on a pair is incredibly rare, but not impossible if you have the budget for it. A sample pair can be purchased from Solectionlv.com for a whopping $35,000.

20. Air Jordan Retro IV (4) Rare Air Laser

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (7)

This sneaker was a new take on the 2005 classic silhouette, boasting tonal laser-etched designs on the upper that marked it as a rare shoe. The shoes also sports red laces and a 3m back panel which give it a unique and stunning look.

The design: The upper of these sneakers are tumbled leather featuring intricate designs cut into it from toe to collar, as well as glow-in-the-dark wing supports. It also includes semi-translucent eyelets and a woven tongue boasting the Jumpman logo. Plus, the shoe sports a second Jumpman logo alongside a grey Nubuck heel tab.

What we like about it: Darker colourways always seem to tickle our fancy, and the combination of light grey, black and red is just perfect for these sneakers, not to mention the subtle glow-in-the-dark elements.

Release date: 2005

Where to buy it: Knowing that “rare” is in the name, it should come as no surprise that grabbing a pair of these sneakers can cost you anywhere from $600 to $1100 on eBay.

19. Air Jordan Retro V (5) Army Olive

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (8)

This is one of the Jordan line’s oldest non-OG colourways, sporting a Jumpman logo with a translucent lace toggle above it. Furthermore, the shoe sports unique tones of green in suede form and a bright orange finish on the sneaker’s tongue. The short has a metallic silver finish surrounding its sole and an orange flame-like lick across the bottom. Its sprinkled pattern sets it apart from other shoes from this line.

The design: The upper features a majority design of army green/olive suede with alternating grain directions to give the sneakers that extra bit of intrigue.

What we like about it: The suede Olive and laser orange rubber make for an interesting and refreshing colourway that works perfectly for any khaki look as well as any outdoorsy activities.

Release date: 2024

Where to buy it: Pairs of these sneakers aren’t too difficult or too expensive to find, with plenty of size options available on GOAT for anywhere from $171 to $337.

18. Air Jordan Retro VI (6) Doernbecher

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (9)

As part of the “Doernbecher Freestyle Collection”, child patients of the hospital are annually given the freedom to reimagine some of Nike’s classic silhouettes. One of the highlights of the 2009 lineup was famously done on the Air Jordan VI. The sneaker sported a blue suede upper, a bright orange finish, and a clear bottom sole.

The design: Deep blue, almost navy, suede makes up the entirety of the upper, with details like stripes and “0608” branding the sneakers. The combination of this navy colour with a deep red, is gorgeous.

What we like about it: Any Doernbecher colourway is an instant favourite in my books, especially thanks to the cause that it funds and the incredible kids who have a part in designing the sneakers, but the design of these sneakers is also just plain awesome.

Release date: 2009

Where to buy it: A size 14 pair of these sneakers are available for purchase from Sotheby’s for $1,250.

17. Air Jordan Retro VI (6) Olympic

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (10)

Inspired by the Olympics, this 2000 release sported a colour scheme of blue and white with hints of red to honour the USA team colours on one of the best Jordans of all time – a championship-winning shoe. This design choice was executed in a colour-blocking fashion while sporting full leather instead of the usual suede or nubuck you would find on other Jordan Air sneakers. The nod to the sporting event in the title gives the shoe a unique feel.

The design: Tumbled leather in both a deep, navy blue and white decorates the upper of these sneakers in intricate and angular overlays, with plenty of perforation for breathability.

What we like about it: You have to love a pair of sneakers that has some kind of legacy to it, and these sneakers definitely do. Other than the incredible mark that they left on sneaker culture, the sneakers are also gorgeous and simple enough that you could wear them with anything.

Release date: 2000

Where to buy it: Finding a pair of these sneakers is as easy as looking on Farfetch, where you can find them for $327. However, there are rumours of a return of the Olympic 6s in 2024.

16. Air Jordan IV (4) LS Thunder

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (11)

Honouring Michael Jordan’s motorcycle team, this beautiful design came with a matching jacket with the set retailing at $500. The shoe was released in conjunction with its ‘Lightning’ counterpart (which will also be included on this list) and is known as the ‘New Love’ colourway. It sports a black and yellow colour scheme, with a yellow air sole. In addition, the shoe has mesh netting over the upper yellow finish and sports a Jumpman logo on its heel.

The design: Combining black and yellow throughout the sneakers and interchanging between rubber and nubuck throughout the upper, the design features many of the beloved elements of the Air Jordan 4 silhouette.

What we like about it: The combination of black and yellow is always a winner; its light and dark shades contrast beautifully to make a stunning look, but combined with the mattified nubuck of the upper, the combo is gorgeous and would look stunning in any collection.

Release date: 2006

Where to buy it: GOAT has many options for sizes available on their website, with prices ranging anywhere from $463 to $807

15. Air Jordan Retro V (5) Green Bean

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (12)

How do you feel about reflective styling on shoes? Well, this colourway features a look similar to that of the Army OliveJordan 5but instead has green reflective finishes. The shoe’s Green Bean name stems from the distinctive “Green Bean” hues that sets it apart from other sneakers. Sporting an embroidered Jumpman logo on its tongue and a green inner lining, the shoe cannot be easily missed.

The design: Choosing to forego any perforations throughout the sneakers, the design is a combination of smooth leather that meets the TPU and clear rubber cutouts as well as the mirroring clear sections on the outsole.

What we like about it: These sneakers are understated but have a gorgeous pop of colour on both the shark-tooth detailing on the midsole and the inner lining, making them the perfect choice for any occasion that requires some grey without being boring.

Release date: 2022

Where to buy it: This is one of the most affordable Retro sneakers on this list, coming in at $147 on StockX.

14. Air Jordan Retro XI (11) Low Cherry

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (13)

Released in more recent years, this 2016 model was inspired by its 2001 OG silhouette. This Jordan 11 sported a white and red colour scheme that is easily recognizable today. These design elements were executed correctly, making it one of the best Air Jordans of all time, or maybe the best Jordan shoes, period. With a simplistic look and a red rim above its white sole, this shoe is arguably one of the more popular colourways, even if it isn’t so easy on the eyes.

The design: Patent leather has always been a fan favourite when it comes to the Air Jordan 11 design, and this pair features it running along the upper, making up its iconic look.

What we like about it: The glorious combination of cherry patent leather with white rubber and mesh makes for a gorgeous pair of sneakers that both lends itself to femininity and to a unisex look, entirely depending on what you wear it with. Versatility is always a great quality in a pair of sneakers.

Release date: 2016

Where to buy it: Kickscrew has these gorgeous sneakers available in a few sizes for $337.

13. Air Jordan Retro II (2) Melo

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (14)

As a signature shoe for the legendary ‘walking bucket’, Carmelo Anthony, this colourway sported a unique look that sets it apart from many others. The shoe wears a white and blue colour scheme with a Denver theme. There is a slight finish of yellow as the sneaker follows through with blue laces, lining, heel and sole. The yellow accents are included in the sole and above the heel logo at the back of the shoe. It definitely deserves a place on the list of best retro Jordan sneakers.

The design: This sneaker features a sleek combination of white leather with blue trim and a thick rubber midsole that features its three main colours: blue, white, and yellow.

What we like about it: Although we all know that the Air Jordan 2 was Michael Jordan’s least favourite sneaker, this pair gives the range more credibility as a gorgeous silhouette with its stunning colour combinations and understated look that undeniably lends itself towards formality.

Release date: 2004

Where to buy it: There are plenty of sizes available on GOAT for prices ranging anywhere from $311 to $2,007.

12. Air Jordan Retro III (3) Mocha

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (15)

It was only after a period of reevaluation that the Jordan 3s became one of the most popular Jordans in sneaker circles. The brand breathed new life into the design with a crisp white finish, adorned with a unique elephant print. Notably, the reinvented colourway gave the shoe an organic mocha vibe, incorporating beautiful shades of brown. However, it still aligned perfectly with the signature style of the Jordan line.

The design: Featuring a combination of smooth white leather and a mocha brown elephant print, this pair of Jordan 3s stays true to its range, never letting the elephant print go out of fashion.

What we like about it: It’s rare to see a Mocha colourway that incorporates this much white, so we love that these sneakers stand out from the crowd but still stay true to the OG Air Jordan 3 look.

Release date: 2001

Where to buy it: While you might find newer versions of the Air Jordan 3 “Mocha” elsewhere, if you want to stay true to the OG look of the sneakers, you can find a pair on StockX for $350.

11. Air Jordan Retro V (5) Premium Wine

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (16)

This Jordan 5, nicknamed the Wine Edition, landed in 2017 in a “Sail,” “Elemental Gold” and “Bordeaux” colourway that predominantly features a beautiful deep, wine-red finish. The shoe can be considered high-end fashion due to its premium features. This includes a special edition box and a quilted lining within the shoe.

The design: The entirety of the sneakers is a gorgeous wine-coloured leather, and the design of these sneakers breaks away from the usual Air Jordan 5 look, by forgoing the mesh cutout on the sides, choosing to replicate this shape with perforated leather instead.

What we like about it: These sneakers are the epitome of luxury, with a quilted inner lining rather than mesh and an upper that looks like oiled leather. If you are looking for a pair of sneakers that instantly elevates your collection, look no further.

Release date: 2017

Where to buy it: A gorgeous pair of these sneakers is currently available on Mercari, with its original dust cover, for $480, down from its usual price of $600, thanks to a sale that is currently running on the site. For bonus points, the pair also comes with free shipping!

10. Air Jordan Retro V (5) Tokyo

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (17)

As a personal favourite on this list, the Tokyo Jordan was designed to be bright and unapologetic. The sneaker was created for the Tokyo23 tournament at Tokyo’s Yoyogi Park and can only be found in Japan. As one of the rarer colourways pertaining to its OG releases, this shoe is one of the more unique models on this list.

The design: This pair features an upper that is constructed almost entirely of bright yellow nubuck, with grey, white, and black finishes.

What we like about it: Unique and inspired by Tokyo23, these sneakers are instantly eye-catching and have a quality about them that instantly shows you they were designed with love.

Release date: 2023

Where to buy it: You can currently grab a pair of these limited edition sneakers on StockX for $2,766.

9. Air Jordan Retro XI (11) Space Jam

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (18)

This sneaker was made famous by its appearance in the Space Jam film in 1996, which increased sales. That being said, the shoes were first worn by Jordan in the Bulls playoff series with the Magic. The shoes were believed to be bad luck as Nick Anderson stripped Jordan, which resulted in the Bulls having to leave the series early. That aside, the shoe sported a striking look with patent leather, an all-black rim and a white rubber sole. Additionally, the sneaker had a blue Jumpman logo embroidered on the back heel. It definitely deserves a place on the list of best Retro Jordan sneakers.

The design: Maintaining the AJ11’s iconic look, these sneakers feature a predominantly black design, with both patent leather and mesh making the upper, while the midsole is a stark white that shines beautifully through the semi-translucent rubber outsole.

What we like about it: Who doesn’t love a good Space Jam callback? It’s not just because of our love for the movie starring Michael Jordan, we also love these sneakers for their sleek look.

Release date: 2016

Where to buy it: Farfetch currently has these sneakers on offer for $249.

8. Air Jordan Retro V (5) Take Flight

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (19)

This 2017 release was a more muted take on the classic signature Nike Air look. The shoe has an underrated blue finish along the soles. Sporting a completely suede material look and appearing in muted khaki, this was one of the colourways that deserved more exposure than it got for its simplistic beauty.

The design: These limited edition luxurious sneakers are entirely made from suede, once again foregoing the usual TPU cutout design for a geometric perforated look, elevating the sneakers to a higher level.

What we like about it: While the gorgeous dark green might make you think that these sneakers would be perfect for the outdoors, we actually love these sneakers for their luxurious stand point. They certainly set themselves apart from general Air Jordan 5 sneakers thanks to their refined elements.

Release date: 2017

Where to buy it: While it’s pretty difficult to find a new pair of these sneakers online, pre-owned versions are available in most online sneaker stores, including Poshmark, which currently has a pair on offer for $320.

7. Air Jordan Retro V (5) Laney

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (20)

This is yet another re-release of a Jordan 5 that sports a distinct white, blue, and yellow colour scheme that is extremely pleasing to look at. The sneaker also has some backstory with its Buccaneer-inspired colours. This shoe references Jordan’s school days, specifically when the much taller Leroy Smith beat him after being cut from the varsity team during his sophom*ore year. This was part of his motivation to become one of the greatest players in history and finally made its way into the shoe’s unique design.

The design: White tumbled leather and TPU make up the upper, with the Air Jordan 5’s signature cutouts and sections of the lace unit made of this clear, or white, plastic.

What we like about it: Yellow and blue seem to complement each other perfectly, but the choice to keep these accents mostly confined to the midsole and tongue of these sneakers makes for a much more wearable look than if you were to have these shades smattered over the rest of the sneaker.

Release date: 2013

Where to buy it: You can find these gorgeous sneakers on Flight Club for upwards of $200.

6. Air Jordan Retro XI (11) Cool Grey

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (21)

This 2021 release is a great nod towards the beloved colourway from 2001. Similar in design, the shoe sports an all-grey monochromatic upper that has inspired various other grey iterations of the Jordan sneakers after it. With contrasting grey uppers and a suede grey rim finish, the shoe was a hit upon its first release. It has definitely earned its spot as one of the best Retro Jordan sneakers.

The design: In contrast to the usual choice to construct the upper with mesh, these sneakers feature a Durabuck upper beneath the patent leather overlay, giving the sneakers a more refined edge.

What we like about it: The Air Jordan 11 always has an incredibly sleek look to it, but the Durabuck upper of this pair really elevates the sneakers to a whole new level, making them the perfect sneakers for dressing up for any occasion.

Release date: 2021

Where to buy it: While there are a couple of great places to find these sneakers, StockX has them available for $149, a price that is well below the original retail price of $225.

5. Air Jordan Retro IV (4) University Blue

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (22)

This beautiful sneaker deserves its entry this high on the list of best Retro Jordan sneakers. It sports the famed “University Blue” hue from Jordan’s distinguishable brand. The specific design is a nod to Jordan’s alma mater, UNC and is identical to the hard-to-come-by AirJordan 4UNC PE. The shoe has black eyelets and a black toe that considerably sets it apart from other designs.

The design: These shoes sport a beautiful low-cut design, with mesh netting on its walls and an extremely pretty sprinkled pattern along the grey finishes.

What we like about it: Usually, Nike designs their Air Jordan 4 sneakers to have a different shade for the backing of the mesh walls, but this pair has chosen to keep the colours the same. This makes for an incredibly cohesive look that complements the business of the speckled rubber accents throughout the sneakers.

Release date: 2021

Where to buy it: While this pair usually seems to fetch a price of $410-$419, the small business Cozykicks currently has a pair on offer for just $169, which is a steal.

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (23)

Introduced in 2022, this sneaker ranks among the freshest styles in our compilation. Reminiscent of the Low Chrome released in 2015, this design sports an upper nubuck with a monochromatic body that is jet-black. In addition, the shoe has an ice-blue outer sole that makes for a beautiful contrast between the two tones. It is simplistic but completely deserving of such a high placement as it was a hit with fans of the Jordan line.

The design: Although the name is “Chrome”, the design of these sneakers features a hefty helping of sleek black nubuck with just a pinch of chrome thrown in with the rubber midsole accents.

What we like about it: Having a pair of sneakers that is as sleek as these would be a boon to any collection, and you would be hard-pressed to find us thinking otherwise. We love the sleek upper with the pops of subtle colour on the accents.

Release date: 2022

Where to buy it: You can find a brand new pair of these sneakers for $310+ on Flight Club.

3. Air Jordan Retro IV (4) Midnight Navy

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (24)

Another 2022 release took fans of the brand by storm when it changed out the classic Nike Air branding with the Jumpman logo- a very divisive move. The sneaker was released in October last year and brought with it white leather uppers and a wholly grey and white colour scheme. In addition, the shoe sported a speckled pattern across its grey finish despite being similar in design to the Fire Red colourway. This was a new take on the sneaker with a very simplistic and light shoe.

The design: The rubber elements of these sneakers have been replaced with a gorgeous grey that has blue speckles hidden within, while the upper is made entirely of stark white leather.

What we like about it: The Air Jordan 4 is just a gorgeous pair of sneakers, but when it is outfitted with a colourway like this, with the majority of the sneaker is understated and gorgeous, while the accents are

Release date: 2022

Where to buy it: You can find pairs of these gorgeous sneakers for sale on sites like GOAT for anywhere between $315 and $534.

2. Air Jordan Retro III (3) Black Cement

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (25)

Similar in design to its counterpart, the “White Cement” Retro Jordan sneakers, this 2018 release was one of the more significant Jordan sneakers to hit the shelves. It sported an iconic black, grey, red, and white colour palette that drastically bolstered its popularity within the sneaker community. The shoe sported a beautiful, entirely black suede body alongside a grey, white, and red sole. The heel of the shoe wears the classic Nike Air symbol and a mesh covering alongside the inner walls of the shoe.

The design: The Air Jordan 3 continues its reign as the sneaker that brings the elephant print leather to life, as it combines it with equal parts of smooth black leather and tumbled leather for a gorgeous, dark, and monochromatic look.

What we like about it: We love that the “Black Cement” colourway is staying true to its roots, bringing the gorgeous cement/elephant print look forward and really highlighting it within this pair of sneakers.

Release date: 2018

Where to buy it: You can purchase a pair of these sneakers from plenty of reputable after-market sites, including StockX, which has a pair currently selling for $344. However, the colourway is also rumoured to make another return in its OG form in 2024.

1. Air Jordan Retro I (1) High Yellow Ochre

26 Best Jordan Retro Sneakers of All Time, Ranked (26)

You could have guessed that some iteration of the OG Jordan 1s would make it to the top spot of this list. Released in 2018, the first thing the brand did was make the shoe that much more enticing to viewers by making it exclusive to a specific geographical area. The shoe can only be found in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, and Latin America at select retailers within the respective regions.

Second, the shoe featured a mix of leather, suede, and rubber materials in its design.

Third, the shoe rocked the original Jordan wings symbol in black on the yellow upper backdrop.

Furthermore, the shoe was white with black toes, yellow under the sole, with the Nike symbol, and with a heel cut-out and upper.

Finally, it sported black laces and found a special place in the hearts of fans.

The design: Staying true to the Air Jordan 1 design, there aren’t too many changes to the general construction of the sneakers, but the gorgeous smooth textures used throughout the sneakers have an almost patent leather or velvet look to them; they are so luxurious.

What we like about it: Yellow Ochre is a colourway that has been in surprisingly high demand since it’s return was first announced in 2023, and we can see why. The golden hues are just something special, and it’s easy to see why people are falling in love with these sneakers.

Release date: 2024

Where to buy it: A recent re-addition to the Nike catalogue, these sneakers are currently available straight from their store for $180. If you want to grab these sneakers, you should do so before they hit the after-market sites, because you can easily anticipate these sneakers’ pricing hiking unimaginably once they do.
